Firedrill Account Registration
Before you can make use of the public Firedrill servers you must register and receive a client username and password. Your Firedrill client software will then need to be configured to login with those details, as described here.
There are four different levels of account available:

Evaluation: This account is designed for people who just want to test the Firedrill service and is available completely free of charge. The download bandwidth is restricted to 25 Kb/s(*) and the maximum number of simultaneous tunnels allowed is restricted to 10. This account remains valid for one week only and comes with no technical support.

Bronze: This account costs $3.50 a month (discounted if you order for 6 months) and comes with full access to technical support. The download bandwidth is restricted to 10 Kb/s(*) and the maximum number of simultaneous tunnels allowed is restricted to 20.

Silver: This account costs $7.00 a month (discounted if you order for 6 months) and comes with full access to technical support. The download bandwidth is restricted to 25 Kb/s(*) and the maximum number of simultaneous tunnels allowed is restricted to 35.

Gold: This account costs $14.00 a month (discounted if you order for 6 months) and comes with full access to technical support. The download bandwidth is restricted to 75 Kb/s(*) and the maximum number of simultaneous tunnels allowed is restricted to 50.
(*) Note - actual bandwidth cannot be guaranteed since it depends on many other factors beyond our control, such as intermediate proxies and network congestion.
Payment
Payment for a Bronze, Silver or Gold account is via PayPal (note that you do not require an existing PayPal account in order to pay, you can make a credit card payment via PayPal without having to be a PayPal registered user). After signing up you will be redirected to the PayPal site to complete the order, and your Firedrill username and password will be emailed to you automatically on receipt of the PayPal payment confirmation (PayPal confirmation usually takes no longer than a couple of minutes to arrive).
No payment is required if you are signing up for a free evaluation account of course. In this case your Firedrill username and password will be emailed to you immediately on signing up.
